The Copperheads Sports organization is a non-profit organization that is based in the Lake Norman, NC area. Our mission with the Copperheads is very simple; we want to help our players reach their potential on the field and off the field. We believe this is best done on the field by exposing them to the best instruction, playing the toughest competition, surrounding them with players with a like mind set for achieving their goals and having fun! We are building more than teams, we are building life long friends and support groups that share a common interest and a passion for the game and for our youth. Everyone that is a part of this organization has had someone special in their youth that took interest or gave time or resources to provide us with an opportunity to learn and grow. We are simply returning that favor!
Our Goal is to be recognized as the best in state, region, country at helping players reach their potential. This can be measured in many ways and like most results, they are simply the byproduct of doing things the right way. For these reasons we are continuing to enhance our program.
In 2003 we added a team in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League for two primary reasons. The first was to create a network between college coaches and our program by providing those coaches with a great opportunity for their players to compete in a NCAA/MLB santioned summer league. The second was to provide our Copperhead players that have gone on to college the same opportunity close to home.
We will start our eleventh year in the league this coming summer. In that time, we have seen over 30 players go on to play professional baseball after leaving our organization while countless others have moved on to other admirable professions.
